| Question Number 1: How much was spent on secure mental health patient transfers by private ambulances in the 6 months to 30th November 2025 | |
| Answer To Question 1: AWP hold the contract for secure transport, accordingly, the Trust would not have costs or a central place for recording journey data. Its possible that (on very rare occasions) clinical teams procure this directly themselves (via a private provider) - but is likely to be a very rare occurrence. | |

| Question Number 6: Please provide a list of all companies that provided mental health patient bed watch services in the 6 months to 30th November 2025 and for each detail: (a) Number of patients looked after (b) Cost of providing the service | |

| Question Number 7: What is the selection criteria for deciding which companies to use for secure mental health patient transfer by private ambulances | |
| Answer To Question 7: BSW Trusts don't have a dedicated contract that would focus specifically on transfer of mental health patients. Instead, third-party suppliers' capabilities in this area are routinely assessed on as part of broader patient transport service provisions, for instance, a baseline requirement that the supplier's patient-facing staff hold current Mental Capacity Act awareness training. | |
| Question Number 8: What is the selection criteria for deciding which companies to use for mental health patient bed watch by private companies | |
| Answer To Question 8: BSW Trusts do not hold contracts for bed watch services with third-party suppliers, it does not appear to be an outsourced service. | |
