The BSW Hospitals Group brings together 91影视 NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust to work collaboratively to improve services, share expertise and deliver high-quality care for local communities across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
As an NHS Foundation Trust, 91影视 NHS Foundation Trust remains accountable to its members, Council of Governors and Board of Directors and operates within the NHS framework overseen by NHS England.
Foundation Trusts are membership organisations, where local people, patients and staff can become members and elect governors to represent their interests through the Council of Governors. The Council of Governors provides an important link between patients, the public, staff and the Trust Board. It is made up of elected public and staff governors, together with governors appointed from partner organisations.
The Trust provides a wide range of acute and specialist healthcare services. While the majority of services are commissioned for local populations across Wiltshire and neighbouring areas, the Trust is also a specialist regional centre for plastic surgery, burns, cleft lip and palate, genetics and spinal injury services, serving patients from across southern England. The Trust has around 470 beds.
Each year the Trust works closely with commissioners, partners and the wider BSW Hospitals Group to plan services and ensure resources are used effectively to meet the healthcare needs of the populations it serves.
