Answer To Question 3: The information needed to answer this question would take longer to collect than the statutory time limit for FOI questions - please see attached exemption notice: delayed transfer of care patients will have spent different amounts of time on different wards, each of which will have different bed day costs. The cost to the Trust will take the form of the staff and non pay resource to care for the patients, but there will also be a cost in terms of income foregone from the alternate surgical or medical activity which would have gone through the bed should it have been available. | |
