Soft Tissue Sarcoma Symptoms and Diagnosis

The most common symptom of soft tissue sarcoma is a lump somewhere on your body that is getting bigger. It is normally bigger than 5cm (2in). You can usually find it deep under your skin before you can see it. The lump can cause pain or be painless, solid to the touch and hard to move around the skin. As it continues to grow, it will become painful. Other symptoms can include abdomen pain and constipation if you get a sarcoma near your stomach or a persistent cough if you get a sarcoma near your lungs.
